About Us

Bramcote Animal Rescue Centre is located in the village of Bramcote near Nottingham and has been rescuing abandoned animals for over 35 years. Many lost, unwanted, and poorly treated pets have found refuge and shelter at the centre and eventually moved on to loving new homes.

Our rescue center re-homes most domestic pets, such as Dogs, Puppies, Cats, Kittens, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, and Rodents, all with a non destruction policy. We feature on this page some of the animals that have passed through the shelter and into loving homes and you will find animals ready for adoption on our Adopt page and also on our Facebook page.

We are a charity and rely entirely on donations to run the center. Cash donations, food, newspapers, towels and blankets are always needed and we welcome any donations that can be given. We sometimes need fosterers if the rescue is full and we always use fosterers for the dogs.

With the huge amount of informatiion available on the interent advice can always be found on keeping Rabbits and Guinea Pigs and all domestic pets before making a decision to adopt a new pet. However, advice is given free with all our adopted animals, so if you feel you would like to adopt or would like to know more then please contact us.

Telephone the Rescue at the requested days and times if interested in adopting any of our animals or to discuss the intake of an animal you wish to be placed in Rescue.

See below for more information and some pictures of the animals we take in and have rehomed through our Rescue.

The Ash House Rabbit Retreat is our Rabbit and Guinea Pig shed donated to us by the late Mr Ashley Pare.

The animals have large compartments and lots of space to move around  and on pleasant dry days go outside in a run for exercise. They are very comfortable in their accommodation whilst waiting for their new home.
Cats and Kittens
The cats and kittens are housed in the cattery, they each have a large compartment, should they need to be seperated but most of them play happily together outside their compartments.
All cats are sterilised, vaccinated and treated for fleas/worms before they leave the center and all kittens are from either pregnant cats that come into the Rescue or unwanted, found or abandoned kittens that we have taken in. WE DO NOT BREED

Dogs
We do NOT have kennels at the Rescue so all dogs we take in for rehoming are placed with fosterers where they live with the fosterer in their own homes until they find a permanent home of their own. Dogs when available are placed on our 'Adopt' page and our Facebook page.
Ferrets
Our Rescue does not take in Ferrets, but from time to time we do receive enquiries. If you are intereted in offering a home to a rescue ferret, contact Clare Goddard who runs the Ferret Hotel in Bulwell, Nottingham. Telephone 07572 124335
